So what do you think about this new stimulus package! Is it full of you know what? I am not defending democrats or republicans because both parties have let us down a great deal. There is really not much we can do at this point but sit back and watch. We really need to learn who we vote for and make well informed decisions when deciding who we want in office. So far this stimulus package does not show me how it will spur the economy out of this recession. I think many of us are now realizing what politicians are willing to say to get in office. Campaign promises quickly fall to the wayside and new agendas pop up. So Far the package appears to be full of welfare type programs that will have no immediate effect on our struggling economy. Birth control, the arts what are we talking about? So far when our president speaks the market tumbles. There is no consumer confidence because we do not see much promise in what the stimulus is throwing at us.
We need to call our representatives and let them know how we feel. The whole thing is just a giant welfare and government growth program.
You know I was really hoping our newly elected President, Barrack Obama would exibit a wisdom unseen by any leader in a long while but so far I see a man who seems to be shooting from the hip. This is not a wild western, and this type of effort will just worsen the economy. Their will be no bipartisan efforts as long as the plan stays this obvious. Americans are smarter than our democratic counterparts give us credit for. It is time to speak up America and be heard. We have facebook, myspace and other social media networks to really create an outreach or maybe outcry of disapproval. Our government is borrowing our future and our children's future away like a crap shoot in Vegas.

April is just a few days away and the president's stimulus package to 95% of taxpayers is suppose to go into effect. The truth is that even though you will make a few extra dollars on your weekly paychecks due a reduced federal tax don't get to excited. We will pay that back along with the additional bailout money our political leaders are spending on our behalf.
ReplyDeleteAlso notice that even though oil is only about 53 dollars a barrel on average over the last 30 days gasoline prices keep slowly creeping up. Prices jumped almost 15 cents a gallon just on Sunday. This I mind you on the latest reports that oil reserves are stock piling at their highest levels in years. So why are we paying so much? The answer is that oil refineries have shut gas production down to continue to line their pockets with cash. The American people cannot win for losing it seems. If the oil producing nations cut down their production it will create even higher world demands and once again cause I quick rise in what the consumer has to pays. Just think what we would pay right now if oil price per barrel goes up to 80 dollars. We would pay almost 3.80 cents a gallon. Remember it was 140+ per barrel when we had to pay almost 4 dollars a gallon before.
My guess is that American oil companies feel that by causing gas prices to rise slowly the consumer want grumble to much. And what we hear from most consumers is that they are thankful that we are not paying 4 dollars a gallon like we did last year. Be prepared because we will be paying around 7 dollars a gallon as soon as the economy starts rebounding.
So what about the stimulus? Well the consumer will not see much off it in their pockets plain and simple. And what we do get will be offset by loss of jobs and higher energy prices and even lower paying jobs. So with that said have a great day!
